NJx Hackathon Summer 2026

A 24-hour hackathon where student teams competed to build cybersecurity-focused web applications — and our team showed up ready.

About the Event

The NJx Venture Summit Hackathon is one of New Jersey's premier student entrepreneurship competitions. This summer, the theme was cybersecurity — challenging teams to identify real-world vulnerabilities and design web applications that protect people and organizations from digital threats.

Our team participated in the full 24-hour sprint: brainstorming, designing, building, and pitching a working product to a panel of judges that included venture capitalists, engineers, and startup founders. The energy throughout the event was electric, with students from across New Jersey collaborating, presenting, and pushing through the night.

Our team built Aegis — a cybersecurity platform designed to protect small nonprofits and small businesses, who make up the vast majority of cyberattack targets yet are the least equipped to defend themselves.
